East End Art (EEA) opened its doors May 2, 2015 in celebration with Mount Vernon’s 10th annual Chalk the Walk Madonnari Street Painting Festival. EEA boasts 52 juried local and regional artists, selling works in a colorful array of media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, glass, wood, pottery, paper, assemblage, collage, photography, and textiles. The gallery also offers distinctively designed jewelry, furniture, journals, and an extensive selection of wrapped prints, giclées, and cards.
EEA is one of the Old School Shops, located on the second floor at 221 First Street NE in Mount Vernon, IA. Directors Chris Goodwin and Kim Wolfe welcome visitors 11-5 Wednesday thru Saturday. 12-4 Sunday. Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Major credit cards are accepted and layaway is available on select items.
