Mickey Miller, MVC chocolatier, has been preparing sweet treats for friends and family since age 8. In July 2009, Mickey decided to pursue her obsession with chocolate and registered for the Professional Chocolatier Program through Ecole Chocolat (www.ecolechocolat.com) in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mickey graduated from the Professional Chocolatier Program in November 2009, and also completed Ecole Chocolat’s “Quality Control and Keeping Limits” course in spring 2010.
Mount Vernon Confections serves more than just incredible tasting chocolate confections. Although a true highlight is their truffles – many made using locally supplied fruits, they also make chocolate-dipped caramels, turtles, nut clusters, dipped fruits, handmade ice cream, English toffee, peanut brittle, hard candy and more delicious items.
